Rulers of the Sun is an action figure property created in 1985 by Yla Eason, centered around the superhero Sun-Man and a cast of original heroes and villains. The line was developed to provide positive representation in toys, introducing an original Black superhero whose powers are derived from the sun, symbolizing strength, energy, and identity. From its inception, Rulers of the Sun was designed as its own universe, complete with distinct character designs, mythology, and themes of empowerment and leadership.
